Goals of the class:
- Practical: to improve the lexical competence, to study the vocabulary connected with types of drinks, to practice new vocabulary, to revise vocabulary from the previous class;
- Professional: to practice the critical thinking and ability to analyse other's opinion;
- Sociocultural: to develop the culture of communication on the Internet.
Goals of the activity:
- to practice new vocabulary;
- to train oblejective evaluating ability;
- to practice the ability to express personal attitude towards social issues.
Assignment
During the class students learn new vocabulary connected with beverages and it's types.

1) Together teacher and students read text and translate unknown words. After each paragraph there is a short discussion about types of drinks mentioned there and student's personal experiences.
2) Using vocabulary, that students learned on the previous class, they discuss which type of meal can be chosen by people mentioned in the text.
3)Students practice new vocabulary with the help of their weblog. Everyone should imagine that he/she is a barman/barmaid, who has to write an instruction for a new empoyee. the instruction they create should not be less than 150 words.
In the comments students evaluate each other and express their opinion about the instruction and what it lacks.
If there is time left, the best instruction can be chosen and discussed in class.
Hometask:
Hometask is also connected with weblog. As this is the end of topic "Food and drinks", at home students in their weblogs should write a paragraph (at minimum 200 words) on one of the topics:
1) With the growing popularity of fast food do people forget the art of fine cooking and good eating?
2) How serious is a problem with alcohol in your country?
Each paragraph should be evaluated by teacher, comments and corrections should be written in private message so that students would not feel confused.
